MCN has directly operated the Tribal Transportation Program (TTP) for more than two decades. The TTP is a Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) program that provides federal funding for roads, bridges, and other transportation projects within tribal areas. TTP pays for new construction and maintenance of existing infrastructure, and is an important source of funding that complements existing Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) budgets.
In 2017, $7.6 million in TTP infrastructure projects were funded within the MCN jurisdiction for the benefit of all Oklahomans.
As shown in the graphic below, we made significant investments in Okmulgee, Okfuskee, and Muskogee counties to help revitalize areas struggling economically.
